Is everyone having that good of a summer? Or that bad of a summer?
I remember list drop-offs during the summer, but NEVER this bad!

Hey! Cougar waves a paw from dusty, dry Utah.
I'll go shooting this Sunday at a local outdoor range. It's actually scheduled as the monthly outdoor shooting meet for Stonewall Shooting Sports Utah, formerly Pink Pistols Utah. I expect that, as usual, I will be the only one of our group there.

I still drop by pretty often, there's just been so little traffic lately that I've only been checking the boards every few days.

I checkin most nights too.
I can only try so many posts (as can Stoner Student) then it looks like we are just talking to each other to create the apperance of traffic.
Besides, after a while, what is left to post about without someone throwing some ideas in also.

I will be around more after next week. Thats when the CO State Fair is and I'll be down there for a week. Yay...I get to stay in a motorhome with my in-laws. Im so excited....blah.
I so hope we are allowed to wander the fairgrounds after it closes for the night. There is no way I want to be cooped up with my inlaws.
IF you wanna come watch me show cows...Next Tuesday, 10AM at the show barn.

Stetson,
A few too many states for me to cross to get there! I am in Ohio.
Our state fair is over, I think, I pay no attention to it. County fair closes down tonight after a run from 19 -26 August, and I never even thought about going out to it.
Don't like crowds or noise, don't like petty bureaucrats, don't like people that are full of it, and the fair has more than it's share of all of that and I don't go there.

Sorry I missed you Stetson, but I've had my hands full dealing with health issues and a job that some managers want to take from me because of it.
Anyway, I hope everything went well for you and your family at the fair. I assume all your in-laws are still breathing?
I too still lurk about every month or so. If I'm still breathing and working as winter approaches I'll try and post more too.
I did pick up a couple of 25 cal. pistols, a CZ and a Colt. Fun to shoot, difficult to aim.

The bull took 2nd and Reserve Champion in class and division. The heifers didnt do as well.
We got home and I slept for 18 hours. Much work for a week kicked my butt.
Now, I'll be here more often.
Compulsive, what field do you work in? WE have lots of openings, in a lot of fields where I work....

I've worked in power plants for the last 23 years Stetson.
If the management group is after my job they will have a difficult time booting me out while they have allowed other folks to received various accommodations to continue working. I've worked most everything union so jumping from one job to another should be easy if needed.
Being gay and having hiv is a double whammy. I think their freaking out about me being in the control room. For some reason they think I'm going to grow horns and do some damage.
That place cracks me up when discrimination and fear become the basis for decision making. I guess I add fuel to their fears when I follow orders from supervisors that don't know what their doing. Apparently upper management wants us to temper incorrect orders with our knowledge of the plant and equipment. Yet upper management will threaten us with insubordination if we don't follow the stupid orders.
Catch 22 for me especially, cause many there have manhood issues and can't stand the thought of a gay guy being in the position I hold. Add my bug to the mix and watch the magnifying glasses come out.
I guess I shouldn't be surprised since this state, not to long ago, allowed folks to be fired for being gay. I haven't given up yet.

Oh how I wish my supervisor was 400 miles away.
I still don't know how things will turn out, but the first step to termination has been taken. Now, I wait as the union has counseled.
Thanks for the concern Stetson and Stoner, but all is not lost. I think phase two has started, so I'll see how determined they are to boot me out.
