Trying to figure where everyone got to?
Had a good list starting to work here, now nothing!
Any shooters left out there?

Almost spooky isn't it Buckshot, but I'm still here buddy. Amazing how fast and hard we were going then nothing. Well, I did find a tiny, carry only when nothing else will do, pistol. Kel Tec P3AT is tiny and will conceal when a firearm is a no no. This thing has the feel of a plastic toy gun, but shoots a 380 cal round. I've only put maybe 40 rounds thru it and of course had a couple of jams. I was told to keep shooting until at least 200 rounds went thru it for a proper break in. The over all length is about 5", the hight is around 3 3/4" and the width is about 3/4". This little pistol is so light I think it would float on water and it has a generous two finger grip. Of course this little Kel Tec is a tack driver at a range of 1 foot, well maybe 6 inches and at 10 to 15 feet hitting the target is a for sure thing if your not real picky where the bullet hits. Has anyone been paying attention to StonerStudent and Kacer on arfcom? I don't know how you two deal with some of those knuckle heads.

I never got into Arfcom, didn't attract me, kind of rude and uppity when I checked it out, so I never went any where with it.
My "go-to" peice is a S&W M640 .357. I use it about the same way you use your P3AT, or will when you get it all broken in.

I am still around. I work 2nd shift 2:30- 11:00 pm so I usually post very early in the morning. Have had a bit of trouble logging on the last couple of days. How long was the site down?

Sapphic,
It was down for about 36 hours, but it was 3 or 4 days AFTER the posted "upgrade in the next 24 - 36 hours" before the upgrade started.
everyone seems to have a little trouble getting back on for the first time after the upgrade. Not a hard process but you have to wait for the email confirmation to complete it.

Wait? Well, I kind of pushed the system a little and it responded with an email right away. Hope that didn't mess things up.

Compulsive,
I doubt that you pushed it or hurt anything!
IIRC it took my email program two "search cycles" (I have it set to check for email every 5 minutes) to get the confirmation message.
That just seems kind of slow to me at 0-dark-early in the AM!

Sapphic,
Did you ever get and get to shooting that rimfire rifle you were talking about?
I think I remember it was you, I hope that is right.

Um, I'm still here, I guess...
Actually I registered here when this place was first created, but I never posted anything and I totally forgot about the place. Anyway, here I am!
And yup, I was just out shooting today, teaching my 10 year old cousin how to shoot. Today was the family reunion and my uncle and cousin went with me and we taught him firearm safety and let him shoot an Ithaca single-shot .22, a 10-22 and an SKS. And now I'm out of 7.62x39mm, so that means we had fun. ;D

Transonic,
A belated welcome aboard and glad you posted finally!
Out of 7.62 X 39 after one little shooting expedition? Sounds like you are not buying in large enough quantities! You need to consider a multi-case purchase next time! ;^)
At least you didn't run out of rimfire, did you?
Good to hear that you got a youngster involved too.

Yup, only had a 500 pack and we were trying to get the barrel hot enough to bake mini-pita breads in. ;D Didn't have enough money for more than that though. I just dumped almost all my graduation gift money on a new Remmy 870. Which by the way, I just graduated from high school. Now I have a summer that is almost totally dedicated to shooting!!!

Transonic,
500 pack of .22 LR or 500 pack of 7.62 X 39? Common size (or used to be) for a brick of .22, but now being replaced by milk carton bulk pack via Wally World, I guess. Didn't know 7.62 X 39 came in 500 packs, is this something local, or is someone packing it that way now?
Mostly see it in 1,000 round and 1220 round cases. But I am a crazy old C&R collector, so don't pay any attention to me, I don't think I have any ammo if I don't have at least a case per rifle!
What 870 did you come up with? I started with a used 870 police gun and later sold it to a buddy and replaced it with an 870 Express Rifle Sight Smoothbore Deer Gun then added a rifle sight rifled deer barrel and a 28" modified shot barrel. Gives me a choice of deer or upland game hunting, trap and defense.
Congrats on graduating high school, enjoy your summer.
