compulsive269, The .40's I can well understand. I had a keltec .40 and it did start to hurt after awhile and I started to develope a flinch . I use a full sized Kimber 1911 (well, 4.5in slide) but with full frame. The recoil is almost none existant to me (but others may not like it) and some folks just aren't comfortable carrying a 38oz gun during the day (if you want to try, then a GOOD belt is the key). For my BUG I like the .44 special in an ankle holster. Wayne

Boadecia, Welcome to the board. I actually had multiple votes (I don't know if this software will allow that). Primary is self defense but I also try to do some shooting on the back 1/2 (I wished I had a back 40 ). I also collect. I have a C&R license and want to collect mil-sup handguns mostly but they are few and far between. So I branched out and included mil-sup rifles as well. I would like to hear from some of the others and anyone that thought about buying/getting a gun but don't know alot about them. And let me say thank you for posting a poll, I was wondering if it worked. Wayne
