Heh, I never said I was the only one. Oooh, a Melissa song. and TBK1 isn't useless, he's an asset to any site. jamz, I quit arguing brands a long time ago, discovered it wasn't my job to enlighten the masses. I leave that to Darwin. BGA, (I ain't typing your handle every time) I don't think priests have enough fashion sense to be gay. Darn. With that sardonic wit are you SURE you're not gay? BYW when is The head honcho in Tacoma gonna show. Any idea. (As I understand it you're the jr.assistant to the head honcho ; )?

Am too--I have a wife to remind me every day. ;D Yes, I am an amateur beekeeper. It's a great hobby. The more you learn about bees, the more you find there is to learn. I love them. Here I've known you for over a year and I thought that was just a "cute" nic refering to Arfcomers who "sting" I hadn't realized it was serious ;D

I guess I'm the second "token straight guy." Hehe Kacer, my account is working. ETA: I don't know anything, but I'm friendly and outgoing. No military service either, so I'm fairly useless. I'll vouch for the friiendly and out going parts I can't find you on the membership list <suspicious look> what sneaky mod trick did you pull?

Kacer, Just thought of something else. Have you fired any of these? 7.62 X 54R, 7.92 X 57 (AKA 8 X 57 and 8mm Mauser), .303 British and 7.5 X 55 Swiss are ALL main battle rifle rounds with a kick in the area of a heavy 12 ga. load. You mentioned 12 ga. in a post. Have you fired a 12 ga? Not a problem, almost anyone can be taught to deal with recoil, but I had to ask since on thinking about it most of what I have heard you talk about has been pistols and AR15s. Buckshot Buckshot, There are MANY firearms that I have fired, but had no idea at the time, what they were, or knew at the time, but didn't either love oor hate them enough to "retain" what they were. I know I've shot and LIKED: 30.06 Baretta 92 9mm semi-auto handgun AR15 M16 Uzi Browning 9mm Bersa .380 handgun 12GA Shotgun Muzzleloader Kalishnakoff (sp?) AR50 S&W .22 handgun - semi-auto I've NO idea what caliber the Uzi was, when I shot it, I wasn't all that concerned about caliber, (At the time a bullet was a bullet was a bullet, NOW I know better. ) and don't recall any of the specifics beyond what I've listed above - sorry. If I really thought hard about it for a while I could probably recall more... is a 12GA shotgun what one would typically use for skeet shooting? If not, I've done a fair amount of that, so whatever one would most likely use is probably what I DID use.... Thanks for the other intel though. I had NO idea But I do now!

Buckshot, I'm currently on SS Disability (Hoping to be OFF it in the next year or two). So cost is ALWAYS a concern... any suggestions would certainly be welcome.

I won't be able to get there because I have a regional get together from a listsever group I belong to the same weekend. I could not remember if it was the same weekend or not, the budget would not take two trips in any case the same month, but I hosted the first two get-togethers here in Lima, then they moved to another location and the last two did not work out and I didn't make it. This year we moved to spring (or maybe two a year) and I am "hoping" right up to the point when I get in the truck to go or the avalanche drops on my head. This is a C&R collectors get together and we will be drawing from at least 6 states. Buckshot Well, darn! That bites.

Okay, Have her IN HAND. Left this morning it was snowing where _I_ live at 10AM. (Near Marysville, Ohio - center of state) drove 1 hour 15 minutes to Stoner's (And his honey's) place. Learned how to field strip and clean it. Did lunch and dinner in the Dayton Area, now we're both home

Kacer, Well, the faster you are the farther away the MEAN guy with the Smokey the Bear hat stays. Isn't that a good and worthwhile plan by itself? ;^) Seriously, what happens when the gaps on the three gas rings work around and line up and you get gas venting and sluggish bolt operation and you have to open things and get the gaps in the gas rings staggered again for proper functioning? That is about as deep as you can go into the action.c Buckshot So, there kind of IS a good reason to do a rapid break down and re-assemble then... POTENTIALLY. I'm all about the "expect noting, be ready for anything motto... so rapid (break)down and back up it is

I'd be happy w/a minute. Unless there is actually a practical REASON for faster beyond that time. Is there? (Okay, maybe intimidation factor... I could go w/that. )
