Oh how I wish my supervisor was 400 miles away.
I still don't know how things will turn out, but the first step to termination has been taken. Now, I wait as the union has counseled.
Thanks for the concern Stetson and Stoner, but all is not lost. I think phase two has started, so I'll see how determined they are to boot me out.

I've worked in power plants for the last 23 years Stetson.
If the management group is after my job they will have a difficult time booting me out while they have allowed other folks to received various accommodations to continue working. I've worked most everything union so jumping from one job to another should be easy if needed.
Being gay and having hiv is a double whammy. I think their freaking out about me being in the control room. For some reason they think I'm going to grow horns and do some damage.
That place cracks me up when discrimination and fear become the basis for decision making. I guess I add fuel to their fears when I follow orders from supervisors that don't know what their doing. Apparently upper management wants us to temper incorrect orders with our knowledge of the plant and equipment. Yet upper management will threaten us with insubordination if we don't follow the stupid orders.
Catch 22 for me especially, cause many there have manhood issues and can't stand the thought of a gay guy being in the position I hold. Add my bug to the mix and watch the magnifying glasses come out.
I guess I shouldn't be surprised since this state, not to long ago, allowed folks to be fired for being gay. I haven't given up yet.

Sorry I missed you Stetson, but I've had my hands full dealing with health issues and a job that some managers want to take from me because of it.
Anyway, I hope everything went well for you and your family at the fair. I assume all your in-laws are still breathing?
I too still lurk about every month or so. If I'm still breathing and working as winter approaches I'll try and post more too.
I did pick up a couple of 25 cal. pistols, a CZ and a Colt. Fun to shoot, difficult to aim.

Yup, I understand because I too only check this place out every once in a while. I wonder what happened to all the other folks that used to frequent this place? Did some move away, change jobs or just loose interest in this place. Life moves onward I suppose.

Have other's found a different website to go to dealing with gay issues and firearms? I'm just wondering because my last post didn't get even a whimper from the big gun lovers. So, this site appears to be over and done with. To bad!

I shot 50s in the army and what a blast that was. I miss shooting them, but honestly, I can't keep up with what I have now. Knob Creek MG shoot sounds like fun though.

Yup, I have three cats that have me well trained. They get treats everytime I walk through the door, even if I only went out for a minute, and changing the bed sheets is a game that usually lasts longer than I care to play. How does someone make up a bed with live fur ball lumps running around under the blankets?

I agree with you SS. I have deep respect for the people on board flight 93, but I don't feel I could stand to watch the event. I'm pissed off enough at terrorist and our idiot president and the knuckle head Rumsfield (sp). How anyone could send our army into battle with anything less than the best protection available is beyond me. Thank gawd pres. Bush and Rumsfield (sp)are out of office soon.

Joe Nameth, Johnny Unitas, Carl Yastrzemski, anyone in Playboy and the LaFrance twins who helped me discover the wonderful world of bisexuality.

Ditto Wayne, but through who's eyes do we see? I do like the idea of Abe being family. I don't suppose he was a moderate of sorts? We moderates get picked on a lot. A gay moderate, doesn't that just warm your heart?

Thanks for the history lesson Kacer. I must admit all the rest of the stuff went over my head, sort of. I mean, I get the gay Spartans and all and I sure hope I had a great time cruising the baths back when I was surely there. But, how do we know they didn't have a word for it? Maybe the word was not derogatory or a put down cause if it was the accuser would most likely meet his favorite god in the spirit world post hast. Also, I might add that history is written by the winners, so who knows what A. Lincoln's sexual preference really was. History is so distorted people can't even agree about the bible cause maybe that was distorted from the very beginning like so many other events of the past. I think one way to describe folks is that they can't see the truth of things for their own beliefs.

Which would you prefer in any self defense situation; happy to mostly hit your attacker anyplace with a large caliber bullet (45/40)or accurate shot placement with a small caliber bullet (9mm/380)?
Depending upon how I feel on any particular day; weak and vulnerable, or strong and full of self confidence, I'll carry anything from a 45 to a 380.
