Good, I hope this works. Has Kacer tried to start a new account through yahoo and then try logging on here? She might have to use a different name and start a new account here.

Bill,
C269 is just pure computer shorthand or pure computer laziness. like shortening Stoner Student to SS!

I'll buy shorthand. I wish I'd of thought of that, C269! Ha, I might have a new name to use on so many boards.
I'm wondering about what we can do if Wayne can't be found. In real estate there is something called a wrap around deal. The owner of a home with a first mortgage sells to a second buyer, but carries the loan so no bank is involved. Later, the second owner decides to sell to a third buyer, but the second owner carries the loan, again no bank involvement. This is called a wrap around deal. It works if everyone makes payments buy if the first owner stops paying his mortgage the entire deal falls apart.
What does a wrap around deal in real estate have to do with our predicament you ask? Nothing, but the concept of using the same address and board with an automatic switch to a different board might work. If we start our new board then different administrators can run the new board with the obvious benefits. I don't know if all the info can be switched or not, but all this might be fun to try.

C269,
If you are interested in checking it out, you might get with the host site owners, point out what I pointed out to you about the Owner and Administrator as listed in the member or staff list and see what you can do from there.
If you can get them to pay legimate attention to you I am SURE they can clear just about anything anyone has installed on their system, otherwise you could set up something real obnoxious and they could not do anything about it.

Kacer is an administrator and has the same rights as Wayne did. She should be able to do anything he could except shut down this site, only the owner (Wayne) can do that. The problem is getting Kacer logged in.

Trouble is, here account, as well as the owner's is inactivated.
I don't know of any way she could sign in as one person and then switch to another, or WE could do the same thing.
I am sure that what ever he did was set so that she could NEVER access her status, that is the ONLY thing that would make sense for abandoning this list that way.
Moderators can't seem to adjust each other's rights or access, so I seriously doubt that Moderators can make Administrators. Buckshot

Mods can't make admins. but Kacer can get over to proboards and get some help. Does she have whatever codes Wayne was using? I'm also wondering if you were ever able to get in touch with him! One other thought, Wayne has the right to end this board any time he wants because he is the owner. No one else can do that. Do you guys really want to put all this work into something that could be pulled away without notice or reason!?
I'm also not sure if Kacer can login using a different computer because she is still using her own ISP and her own IP address. All that doesn't change just because the computer is changed unless Kacer starts a new account with her ISP.

That, "Someone can hit the flush lever no matter what we do or how well things are running" is one of the main reasons I said it was time to make a decision.
Right now it is mostly running on life support rather than actually alive on it's own.
I was just wondering if it was time to pull the plug and move before it came alive and we had to move it then.

If we can't fix the current Kacer-Wayne problem then I vote to move. To where, I have no idea.

Actually, might be able to moved right back here, as long as the names are far enough apart.
Never seen a "home page" or whatever for this hosting site, though.

If we do move, which I too think is a good idea, could we possibly find a place with a more manageable address? Maybe someplace which is also more visible. Right now I feel like we're living out in the swamps, hidden by whatever vegetation grows so thick a person can't see through the mess.
I did a Google search of "gay gun websites" and found the Pink Pistols, something about hairy nuts and an article on baldy locks??!!! etc. etc. Nothing about this site, however.
I think the time has come to move into the suburbs at least and into a home that we can maintain with an address people can find. ;D
