Last November a young man with a rifle entered the Tacoma Mall in Washington state and shot seven people. One man who had a legally concealed handgun confronted him but was shot by the criminal. The story of how this man has recovered from his wounds and what he must now endure may be read on the Seattle Times online at seattletimes.nwsource.com/html/localnews/2002975859_mallshooting06m.html I truly feel sorry for him, I can understand how such a situation would seem so unreal that most people would not realize the terrible danger and thus would not act appropriately. I'm sure even law enforcement officers and soldiers occasionally find themselves taken aback by the bizarreness of some situations that they must face and they may hesitate to do the right actions. Perhaps it is true that when trouble appears we do not necessarily rise to the occasion, but rather sink to the level of our training.....Cougar.....
