The stock is a US copy of the AKSU's side folder, the rear is actually further back then a full length AK's and is part of a hinge on the dust cover. I'll post some detailed pics tomorrow.

It's a Rapid Fire inc built AKSU in 5.56mm w/ a fake pbs-5 suppressor to give it legal 16 length. The mags are modified AK74s, I'm awaitting the paperwork to make it a SBR.

Well after 26 years the second firearm [first rifle] I ever bought has come back to me. It is a Plainfield M1 carbine I bought [ok my dad bought] with the money I earned working my first real job. I had sold it when I was 18 and need money, anyway I was in the small town I grew up in last week visiting friends and of course show off a S&W 66 I had. And my friend wanted it real bad and said he had a M1 carbine to trade.....and lo and behold it was my old carbine. It had gone though about six people before my buddy bought it a couple years ago. I am happy as all get out to have it back and after cleaning it up took it to the range and it still shoots great.

I had one back before the 94...a Costa Mesa AR180. Anyway this is some of the answers, but Buckshot can fill in anything I missed. 1. yes the old ones take special mags, but you can modifiy AR15 mags to work. I have one that I moded so I can show you want you would need to do. Basicly you need to cut a new mag catch slot in the body. 2. yes it's easy to clean, for one thing it doesn't poop where it eats [piston vs gas tube] 3. about 800 before then ban 4. I loved the rifle and wished I had not sold it Also the new AR180B takes regular AR15 mags and has a polymer lower reciever...but a non folding stock. Buckshot and I are hoping Armalite goes back to the folder now that the 94 is gone.

Not yet.......When it comes to firearms I am like a 5 yr old. My attention span is short and change my mind quickly.

I'm thinking about picking up a ROMAK-3 which is a Romanian sniper rifle in 7.62x54mm. I was looking at SOG ad and 595.00 with a PSO-1 scope sounds pretty good. I've read online with the right loads it with shoot about a 1inch group at a hundred.

Well finally got the new "high cap mag" installed, and run a box of shells though it...and man I'm in love. I can see why law enforcement and bad guy liked the Model 11 back in the day. ;D
I may try using it in the shotgun matches this year just for fun.
