From data taken at 2004 national election exit polls, reported by Dr. Kenneth Shirrell, Professor and Chair, Department of Political Science, Hunter College, City University of New York, and distributed by the National Gay and Lesbian Task Force policy institute.
----------------
Do you or does someone in your home own a gun?
Lesbian/Gay/Bisexuals:
Yes 46 No 54
All other voters:
Yes 42 No 58
Hmmm.... do YOU all notice that the "yes" percentage for GLBT folk is 4% HIGHER than "all other voters"?

Nice,
Only a couple I actually LIKE though. (Would own myself if I had virtually unlimited funds.)

Well, no offense, but this is a BIG OLD "DUH!" I totally do NOT comprehend WHY schools are "gun free zones" (aka: criminal safety zones)

"Hey, careful, there's a "Kace" (KaceCyote) and a "KaceR", I'm the SECOND one" /inset Homer voice here: DOH! The Intarweb and Merlot do NOT mix... No seriously, I literally said "doh" upon reading that. That's okay, I was already expecting that problem to appear eventually. As SOON as I said "hi" To "KaceCoyote"

Single! Awww Kacer!. That's sweet! But my heart belongs to another. Wait for it. Here it comes. I’ve been married since 1992. Ouch. Still feels weird to say it, as a blue haired punk rocker back in the ‘80s, I can safely say that this was never supposed to happen, but there you go.… wifey and I have been together since ’89. Can ya’ believe it? But if it’s mindless gun porn you’re into, well heck I can do that. Like I said, I have no idea how I ever came to own so many guns- other than I was in the business for about 7 years back in the ‘90s and man, did I work that discount hard. At one point I was wondering if it would just be easier to be paid in guns, as that was where most of my paycheck was going anyway. *sigh* I miss those days... when did I grow up? Hey, careful, there's a "Kace" (KaceCyote) and a "KaceR", I'm the SECOND one, Kace is the one who asked. I'm strictly for "innies" And not to diminish your ego, as you look good for a guy, BUT I think Kace MIGHT have been a TAD more enticed by the hardware ;D

Sapphic is very right about the .40 S&W NOT being for beginners. When doing CCW training, the .40 S&W generates the MOST complaints about recoil and "sharpness" (the way the recoil is delivered). The only other firearms that come close to this for complaints are the blowbacks shooting the 9 X 18 Makarov, and mostly the FEG guns more than the Maks themselves. Sapphic, have someone work with you at the range with your .22/45 and do "ball and dummy" drills with the helper loading the pistol. Part of the time they load it normally and part of the time they put a fired .22 case into the chamber as the first round. This will physically SHOW you the flinch and the lack of recoil with the .22/45 will help to let you eliminate the flinch. Buckshot Buckshot, NICE training technique! Thanks

YES! But it's been a while. Apparently there's a range here in MY county that's doing this... might just have to schedule a special meeting as I know others in the COPP group have expressed interest.

All that stuff looks useful, but doesn't the firearm get to the point of diminishing returns. Everytime I see a firearm loaded down with stuff, I think of KISS. KISS as in Keep It Simple Stupid?

I will put forth that the three standard defensive shotguns are as follows: Modern: Remington 870 Classic: Winchester M1897 Don't ignore: Side by side "Coach Gun" Make any of mine in 12 ga. What say you? Buckshot I'll agree w/the 12Ga part... the rest is not in my knowledge base.

Thing is I cannot find this kid (young man?) that was doing the organizing. If I could get ahold of him, I've got SEVERAL ideas to help him in his endeavor... including on hooking him up w/the Second Amendment Club in Athens
